11 February – BSTU and Leonov University of Technology (Korolev, Russia) signed a Cooperation Agreement which outlines basic forms of cooperation in the field of education and research, including innovation projects, joint research and development programs, staff and student exchange.?

The Agreement was signed by BSTU Rector Ihar Voitau and Alexander Troitskiy, Acting Vice-Rector of Leonov University of Technology.
The delegation of the Russian university visited Belarusian State Technological University to discuss possible areas of collaboration. During the talks several key areas were defined: joint research in the field of composite materials technology and additive synthesis, estimation of properties of polymer composite materials, joint participation in international conferences and development of new curricula. The parties emphasized the importance of consolidating efforts to achieve high results in education, research and innovative technology.

The guests visited laboratories of the Department of Polymer Composite Materials and Department of Mechanics and Engineering where they had an opportunity to get familiar with the most recent research developments of the department staff members. The Russian colleagues rated highly the achievements of our scholars and pointed out that our future collaboration showed a lot of promise.
